The Northampton Arts Collective (NAC) is an artist led, independent organisation formed in early 2004. In 2006 it took over the empty Market Hall in Northampton to run as a gallery and performance space. (see www.fishmarketgallery.co.uk)
NAC, and many in the wider community, believe Northampton needs greater focus on art and culture if it is to become a better place to live, work and visit.
There is a wealth of creative talent in Northamptonshire which deserves support and recognition. We are currently focused on Northampton as the County town but we are not, in any sense, bound by geography.
In January 2008 NAC committee and a number of others with an involvement in the project re-assessed our objectives and aspirations.
We agreed that our purpose is to ENRICH PEOPLE'S LIVES THROUGH THE ARTS
WHAT AND HOW DO WE DO THIS ?
